DESCRIPTION:We are excited to have three phenomenal trainers\, Midge Mayhem\, Dirté Monkey and Suz from Denver Roller Derby Mile High Club! This is a clinic you do NOT want to miss out on. \nTim Burns (Dirté Monkey) has been apart of Denver Roller Derby for the last 7 years primarily coaching the Mile High Club. In 2014 he started skating with and captaining for MRDA affiliated and brother league Denver’s Ground Control. When he’s not skating or coaching…actually\, that’s not a thing. \nS.H. Long\, current co-captain of the Mile High Club\, grew up in a skating family competing in quad skate competitions. Since learning how to play roller derby in 2010\, she’s become a force to be reckoned with on the track giving credence to her original derby name “The Terrible Suz.” \nStacie “Midge” Wilhelm has been skating with Denver Roller Derby’s Mile High Club for the last three years and taken it upon herself to learn as much as possible about skating\, off-skates training and nutrition. While she may stutter when she talks\, just take it in strides; she’ll finish her sentence eventually. \nSkaters will have one named pack day of derby with an opportunity to utilize skills learned in multiple sessions. \nA Beginner skills and Advanced skills will be offered and will run at different times throughout the day. Spots are limited to 35 per skill level to ensure your skater gets the one-on-one time needed. The Beginner program will be open to advanced skaters if they are interested in attending\, if not we ask that they arrive at 12:30pm sharp so you are in place ready to begin at 1pm. You won’t find higher level derby play Greater New Orleans area! \nAll ages are welcome at this family friendly event where kids are encouraged to run the track at half time – just like the skaters do – and everyone comes in for a high-five after each bout! \nJoin us at UNO Human Performance Center – Doors open at 4:30PM\, action starts at 5:00PM. \nFood trucks\, cash bar\, bake sale\, halftime entertainment and appearances by the Rolling Elvi and the Fringe Element. \nTickets are $10 in advance\, $15 the door. Kids 7-12 are $5\, kids 6 and under are free. College students get in for just $5 with valid school ID. \nWe’ll see you April 18th!

You decide the the winner and they roll away with the Golden Skate! \nJoin us off the track for a night of dancing and fun to benefit your Big Easy Rollergirls! \nDJ Ruckus will be bring the music\, you just come ready to dance!\nThe party starts at 7pm.

DESCRIPTION:All Stars compete in Dallas and the 2015 Clover Cup brought to you by the Dallas Derby Devils. \nThe Dallas Derby Devils host the Clover Cup 2015\, for the 6th straight year. Games will begin on Friday\, March 27\, continuing through to the following day\, with the final games being held on Sunday\, March 29. \nIn addition to the host league’s Army of Darkness squad\, the other teams invited are Northwest Arkansas Roller Derby (Fayetteville\, Arkansas)\, Gold Coast Derby Grrls (Fort Lauderdale\, Florida)\, Oklahoma Victory Dolls (Oklahoma City\, Oklahoma)\, Houston Roller Derby (Houston\, Texas)\, Blue Ridge Rollergirls (Asheville\, North Carolina)\, Kansas City Roller Warriors (Kansas City\, Missouri)\, and Big Easy Rollergirls (New Orleans\, Louisiana). \nThis will be the biggest and most competitive tournament in Clover Cup history. Every competing team is among the top 70 teams in the world\, as ranked by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. Additionally\, Kansas City is one of the oldest teams in modern roller derby and is a former WFTDA Champion. \nSee www.clovercup.com for more details!

Kids 7-12 are $5\, kids 6 and under are free. \nJust Announced:\nWe will be joined by a very special guest: Big Freedia will be shooting the video for the song “Dangerous” at our season opener! We could not be more excited! Get tickets now because this is going to be a night to remember! \n  \nPlease be aware that no refunds will be given should Big Freedia not perform. You are however guaranteed to see some awesome roller derby action.
