“It’s that time again for the annual Big Easy Rollergirls fundraiser, Solid Gold Dance Off!

This year we have the NOLA Bombshells, Storyville Baby Dolls, Mande Milkshakers, and Roux La La dancing for the win. Each dance krewe performs one number (up to five minutes) and during this time we’ll have Rollergirls collecting cash donations from the crowd as votes for their favorite performance. The krewe that receives the most votes wins and gets to donate their proceeds to the charity of their choice.

That’s not all!

This year is a little special… as you may or may not have heard, the Big Easy Rollergirls are hosting the WFDTA International Roller Derby Championships this year from November 9-11 (think of it as the Super Bowl of roller derby). We want to show off to the international derby community all that our city has to offer. So, we are offering the opportunity for our winning dance krewes to dance during Champs, in front of fans and skaters from all over the world!!!

1st Place: Winnings to charity of choice, evening halftime at one day of champs
2nd Place: Afternoon Halftime at one day of Champs
3rd Place: Midday Halftime at one day of Champs
